Volunteer posting highlight: Fatherhood Program Mentor
Organization: Eagle Mountain Pregnancy Help Center
Role Type: Volunteer Ministry
Time Commitment: 2–5 Hours Per Week (Flexible)
Mission & Purpose
At the Eagle Mountain Pregnancy Help Center, we believe that a father is an integral pillar of the family unit. Our mission is to walk alongside men as they grow into the leaders, protectors, and spiritual guides their families need. We are seeking a dedicated Fatherhood Program Mentor to serve as a primary advocate and spiritual anchor for fathers in our community.
Role Overview
The Mentor will provide Christian, hope-based guidance to men navigating the complexities of fatherhood. You will help them bridge the gap between life's daily demands—work, finances, and time—and their high calling to be the spiritual head of their family.
Qualifications
To ensure our clients receive leadership rooted in Truth, we require the following from our mentors:
A Father’s Heart: Must be a father who understands the sacrifices and joys of raising a family.
Active Faith: A man who loves Jesus, possesses an active faith in Him, and intentionally walks with Him in daily life.
Biblical Literacy: Familiarity with what Scripture teaches regarding fatherhood, the family unit, and spiritual leadership.
Compassionate Leadership: A heart willing to show compassion, reflecting Psalm 103:13: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him."
Complete 5-6 total hours of personal training in our offered curriculum for dads. The Director of Client Services will assign these to you.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Mentorship: Guide fathers in understanding their roles as spiritual leaders, including how to pray for their families and lead them in the Word.
Practical Advocacy: Support men through core topics such as "Doctor Dad" (health, habits, and communication) and "Practical Fatherhood" (discipline with grace and child development).
Consistent Engagement: Maintain a "tactical" mindset, helping fathers make every minute at home count toward the spiritual formation of their children.
Modeling Joshua 24:15: Helping men commit to the standard: "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Why Serve With Us?
This is a unique opportunity to invest in the restoration of families. As a donor-funded organization, we provide these services at no cost because we believe a father's role is paramount. Your mentorship will equip men with the skills and spiritual foundation necessary to lead their homes with confidence and grace.
Best,
Matt Ziemba
